GOALS OF ECO-MAIS

  Develop students’ interest, commitment, responsibility, and leadership toward their own local school environments and the ecosystems of the planet Earth.

  Develop understanding of the environmentally-related concepts included in the USA National Science Education Standards.

  Develop two model ECO-MAIS schoolyard habitat study sites with curricular applications for sharing with all MAIS schools.

  Stimulate the design, construction, and utilization of ECO-MAIS sites in all MAIS schools and in other international schools throughout the world.
