Make plans now to attend the 2008 MAIS Annual Conference in Madrid, Spain. MAIS has an outstanding Conference planned and we look forward to your attendance. Our exhibitors are an integral part of the program as well as special friends and supporters of MAIS and we welcome all of you there. We have many noted experts in various specialized areas of education who will offer both general sessions and workshops. The 2008 MAIS Conference Program is designed to address the needs of busy Teachers, Administrators and School Board Members in their efforts to remain abreast of the most current research, trends, practices, and their applications in today's dynamic field of education. With workshops focused on the interests and responsibilities of each element of School Leadership and Community, Elementary and Secondary Faculty, Counselors, Librarians, Administrators and Board Members will all benefit from targeted workshops. In the general sessions, non-specific workshops, and social activities the environment will allow for exchange among all delegates to promote coordination and cooperation for quality in the School Community.

manufacture or distribute educational supplies, will bring
samples and be available for consultation about the various
products. Delegates are encouraged to visit the Exhibition Area
during their stay. There will be expert representatives available
to explain and demonstrate their products and services.

Various excursions, cultural tours and shopping opportunities
are included in the conference package.

Though cold, winter in Madrid is usually quite dry. It is worth keeping in mind that the temperatures at night can go well below zero. SUITABLE CLOTHING: You'll want warm clothes, including sweaters, a scarf and a warm coat. Though rain is relatively infrequent it can by no means be ruled out. A water-resistant jacket and umbrella should suffice.

As a service to our supporting members, International Schools Services, Inc. (ISS) has been contracted to consolidate and ship all Conference materials being sent from the USA. The form will be posted at the end of June 2008.
